I use to.....

i dont like shopping.
So, now that is off my chest... hahaha

I really dont, not for food and not for all the other life necessaties, such as lipstick, eyeshadow, stockings, skirts, you get my drift....

But, i always like to shop local shops, you know, the little shops, where the personal appreciate your coming.....

Now?
That is totally different cup of tea.

Because the local shops are mostly small....
1,5 mtr distance is most of the time totally not possible....

Now i really have to think...; Nó, i can not go to that shopping mall, because that is way too crowded and has too small walking spaces between the shop too.

It scares me, to have to think that way....

Because i like to think i support those little smal shops...
And, also i am a known customer.... by those shop owners....

I need to feel safe.
There is this DIY shop, very big, and they count the customers.
When they reach a certain number, you are not allowed to go in!

I love that shop!
The other day is was in a shop, it was not busy at all....
But during my shopping, it became very busy...

They dont count the customers.
They also dont clean their carts......

I dont like that shop anymore....

I use to have a certain route, to do my shopping...
Took my time to talk and stay informed with the lifes of the shopowners...
Know about this womans man, who has a heart problem....

Or that couple who are trying to make a baby.....
Or.... that kind of social contact.

Having fun, flirt with the boys and owner of the local fish shop....

I use to have nice contacts with most shopowners....

I use to....

Not anymore
This is going to have a big emotional impact on a lot of people....

I use to go to the Garden shop, Intragarden or something like that, the real big shops
To buy new plants, now i dont want to go there, anymore....

Because of the way they have organized that shop....
It is like a labyrinth, and people turn around.. and walk against the flow, back to what ever it was they saw...

I am even thinking of buying plants online!
Or thinking if i can remember some small garden shop, somewhere...?

sighs.

I use to.....
This makes me sad....

Now the Easter madness is going on, just like it is when it is Christmas.

As if this is the last day of the world, or your life, in which you can BUY!!!
BUY! BUY! BUY!

As if your closets are not already filled to the top!
Madness!

Dont people learn? Anymore?
Make some sort of balance?
What is really important in your life?
Especially NOW?

I think people are scared and are manifesting it in different ways. Some people are survivalists and think much like you are Rosa. The safest places to shop, how to be safe when foraging for the supplies they need.

Where I am all the stores are being closed for Friday and Sunday. Since the shelter in place the liquor stores are closed on Monday's as well. It's not like prior to the isolation situation, where if you forgot something, there are options. Now, there are no options. I think some people are desperate to have some normalcy and are planning Easter. So they need to buy more. It's hard to break out of our habits. I used to grocery shop everyday. It was easy to stop and get what I needed, and since I do not drive I could pick up a bag or two and be fine, until I needed to return again.

Now I have to think about what I need for a longer time period, how I am going to get all that home, and what order to buy things in, so I can make the fewest trips.

We are going to be in our homes a long time, that makes people think/realize a depression is coming very quickly. We may not have the funds to buy what we need, when we need it. So we need to get somethings while we can. Those who have children have to still have a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Don't be mad at people Rosa, everyone is going through a period of grief and is expressing it in different ways. I know it's hard, I am convinced half the planet are insane and they are driving me nuts, but I am REALLY trying to find compassion and support for everyone. I won;t succeed but I have to try LOL

You found parts of me I didn’t know existed and in you I found a love I no longer believed was real.

Daddyslilpunkin, Me too, since i dont drive... I am just in shock about the behaviour patterns people get soo much attached to, that they lose sight of what is going on, right under their nose.....

You are right, people try to cope.. each on their own way....
It is hard on everyone.

I am starting my own vegie garden. Keep the faith a life !
Thank you,

I'm with you on the social impacts. I picked up take out from one of my favorite gastropubs. When I gave them a hefty tip I was thanked and thanked for my kindness but I told them I want to be right back there at the bar very soon.

rosa

I too like to support my local shops but can only visit the food ones!

I too walked out of a small shop because it became crowded!

Our Lives have changed!

I hope you can enjoy Easter...
