An angry man, In this Arabic shop. I love to shop there, their herbs, their soap... This small place has a few of such Arabic, Turkish shops. I love their bread. It is a rather small shop. With a lot of clientele.. Their knowledge of the Dutch language is not really big. But i manage, to make myself understood... They are also patient and want to help, solve the language problem. It is a nice shop. So, today, there were some other Arabic speaking persons in the shop. Buying those special flat breads! This guy was angry, i think, he did not like the new prices.... He started shouting; WHy? Why? The man, behind the counter, did not know how to react to this attack. So, i told this man; Because there is no more wheat! Because there is a WAR going on! You cant even buy wheat in any other shop! He looked at me, in shock! As if that was totall new to him! The war, the shortage of wheat.... Or of sunflower oil... He paid the price of the bread, and went a way... Outside, i heard him talk to those other Arabic speaking men. Very excited, or maybe angry? Short fuse? I just picked up my bike and went home, the rain was starting again.... The shopowner has to make a living too. Pay the rent, and all that. All those products that come to Holland, in those big containers. The prices of those containers, did rise too, a lot! There will be shortage, about almost every thing, coming in our country. In those containerships! It looks like most people are in denial. As if ignoring this problem, makes it all go a way???

Stock up, now you can still pay the price! I heard, the mustard factory in Holland, cant produce the same amount of mustard, because the best mustard seeds come from Ucraine.... They had to lay people off, because there is no more work, in that factory....

what you say holds a lot of truth to it.. everything everywhere is going up.. some of which J feel is justified while other increases are outragous. like the cost of gas and milk and a big one is medications. think I have spotted off enough..

Yes, we heard on the news that people in Europe would be greatly affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I am so sorry that this is happening to you...another consequence of this horrible war. Hang in there!

Yes, we are feeling the economic effects here in the US too, but it is probably much worse for you, since so many of your products and services come from Russia. When you said "the navo," did you mean NATO?

drmgirl, i agree, it is a matter of the wrong target, in such a case, most of the time. non rational people tend to do that... when they dont understand the world, the situation, the politics, economics ( anymore) .... alas
