Sinterklaas? it was a great, cold day! Worked on my tree, again. Cut an other couple of branches off. Very proud of myself! I had to do some shopping in between, and also had to wait for a deliver, a parcel, so i jumped on my bike, raced to the nearest supermarket.... They had a little market in the little square! With terrible loud Dutch Sinterklaas songs! It was like i was transported into an totall other timeframe! WTH is this?? ( i dont read the local paper) Then i saw Sinterklaas and a lot of zwarte pieten.. damn! I was sooo focussed on my task ahead, i had no space for anything else in there!LOL I could not go straight to my shop and be gone again! had to avoid all kind of people, sugar high , too! Crazy! My whole plan, came to a standstil! what! sighs..... go in slowmotion. When things like this happens sometimes, my brain has a short circuit. This was not how it should happen! hahhahaha What are all these people doing here?? LOL A bit single minded?  Why do they planned a party?? Oh! SINTERKLAAS! right! I totally forgot that other people having a little party, with this Sinterklaas thing! Since my is no longer "a believer", LOL Sinterklaas in no longer in my brain frame. i enjoyed myself, bought even new pants, some gloves too, and my other shopping also Raced back, borowed some more tools from that neighbour And tomorrow, i will climb higher in that tree. I really enjoyed myself, it is like a mathematical problem, when to cut what branch and the next one... calculate where they will fall and all that.... And still leave enough branches for the ladder, to support the ladder, the branches are very very sturdy. The ladder is also standing against the tree trunk, more support is better. secure the ladder to the tree with tension straps. And, and, my Chinese family offered to help me, the husband is free in January, so i will see, how far i get, by that time.  And let him do some work, too!  They too, cant understand that i enjoy doing this on my own. Think, i must be crazy and it is way too dangerous for a woman...  As if a man, cant fall out of a tree?? LMAOF Also when men, want to "help", most of the time they mean, take over this whole project, take it out of my hands! Debate, discuss about how I want it to happen, is off the table, most of the time. I know, most of the time, they mean well. it is just in their genes! LOL I did not ask for that!! (Cant stand that kind of help) I did get some pepernoten, littlle round biscuits, from a Zwarte piet! I must behaved good this year!

The Sinterklaas person was really very fake, they did not do a very good job on the make up, sorry to say.... Children dont see that, they see SINTERKLAAS, and he bring presents and sweets, a lot of sweets! All in all it was nice, to see the chidren having fun, be a true believer!

electro, Thank you, I can assure you, i am very careful. There are only three more bigger branches to cut, the rest is much smaller I am almost half way up!

ExName, Thank you, You know? Deep down inside i am a kind of a bitbull, once i take on some task, i dont stop, untill it is done! After that, i colapse! most of the time, too Then it is time to relax.. and unwind That is how i am wired.

There are days I wish I had someone to take over tasks such as you describe. But remember, the operative word here is moments.
