joy, Iam very happy to be able to work in that workplace with bikes I have to get used to all the very strange, and sometimes a bit scary people running around there. They all have some sort mental problem or disadvantage in life..... Big on meds, too. There is this one man, he is really a danger. A walking psychose.... or so it seems, from my point of view... scary shit and he has somehow decided he hates this Indian guy, wants to stab him. He talks a kind of very strange English... nobody understands him. I try to keep an eye on him and stay away from him. always watching where he is, what he is doing.... and if i have some heavy tools lying around, to throw at him, when he comes too close. Last week, i finished my first bike! Há, did it all! wheels, spoke, brake, light, sadle, did it all!! Ofcourse mister sour was not able to complement me with it I dont care! i knów i did a great job!! Now this week i am already working on an other bike. Cleaning it first before i do any work on it. It will look as good as new, when i am finished with it! Talking with my Indian friend, she told me; Oh, an Indian man!! watch out! they hate women very much, he will never give you any credits. He is does not matter much.... It was nice to get confirmed what i already new, found out, about him. Ofcourse there is a radio on, on the workfloor, and i always sing the songs i like. Somehow, that is soo very new, the whole floor is silent and listen to me, singing, i have a rather nice singing voice, if i may say so, myself! LOL  Last week B commented on my singing; you know alot of lyrics. I do.  We talked about our preferred radio channels; his rock , mine anything....  as long as it swings, there is a sax, drum and bass in it,except for classical music. This caste system what was active in India, it is ingrained in their bloodstream, even when, now, the gouvernment said, the kaste system is wrong and it is no longer allowed to use that. It is, for sure, in the older folks, still very much a life in their way of thinking. And women are the lowest of the lowest.....anyway....   misogyny instutionalised in a country.... |

The two other men, are teasing this Indian guy, he cant stand it. Has no sense of humor, Thinks very highly and mighty of him self! Hé is very, very important. we all, are even less then the dogshit under his shoes, kind of attitude...=)  ,Hé is the one, full of shit. I can work with that. Ignore and delete! LOL

I had a run in of sorts with a man from India in a different department than I at my work. He got mad and wanted to talk to my supervisor I told him to go over by the phone and I would have the supervisor call him immediately, He smiled went by the phone. I picked up the phone next to it and called the number. He looked surprised I said pick it up, my supervisor is calling you... I am the supervisor...

Congrats on your first bike.. I think the problem with those from India isn't so much the " system".. As it is those that are smarter, braver,fiercer,,. That step beyond its boundaries... They don't know how to process someone like you. They are just used to labeling people and keeping them down.

I have several friends from India. Our interests brought us together and we often eat together. If I go to their place I follow their customs. I love to learn about other cultures first hand. I wish we were all so open minded when we hit it off.

ryder, That is great! I have an Indian friend, too. She is not stuck in her manners about "other" folks, with other ways... I also abide by their habits, when i visit her, as i did with Arabic/ Chinese people, i met due to my volenteers work. I love other cultures, although i might not always understand their habits, rules, but i would never attack their ways. I like to learn and understand.

likematures, You might have a point there..... Although that system is helping them, who are thinking, they are in power, to keep "others" down. General Dutch people dont know, how to process someone like me!LOL I dont fit in any preconsieved idea about "how a woman" should... What ever!!

brandy, I love to observe people and their behaviour, he is a prime example, to study!! I may hope his kind is almost extinct! LOL He is old and stuck in his manners and ways of thinking, and has a lot of dislike of Dutch folks... or anyone in general!?

likeithot, Yeah, some people have this inner need, , or so it seem, to want to put anyone else down, just to make them feel better... greater, smarter.... Thát is not a healthy sign. It is like, all those domlydoms who shout and chest pumping to PROVE hów dominant they are. But really dont have any clue, whatsoever!
