Bushcraft ?

To be able to cook, on my way, i have to have some good gear.
I do have some outdoor coking gear, but they are actually too big and too heavy. to much bulk

So i want it all as small and foldable as possible, light weight is important too.

So, yesterday i did put a very big order at this Bushcraft shop.
So, next week i can start to learn to cook outside and start a fire, too...
See how it all works.

I have a lot of stuff already for my traveling.

The list with things to buy are getting smaller and smaller.
I like that...

They advice to take with you merino wool clothes....
So, as i do, with everything i buy for my traveling, is,
i buy one or two items, use them, wear them and see if i like them.

That way i found out, i bought a wrong head light.

It is rechargeable, but only has one way you can put that lamp on...
I am disapointed about that, i will go back to the shop and see if i can change it for a headlamp with more possiblities, more angles, too

There is sooo much nice stuff to buy and to use, very fancy stuff, too,
but to keep it at the bare minimum, is an other piece of cake!

Minimize is all i do, constantly.
Clothes can become a problem, to downzise that, would be hard work!

Also, i have to take in mind, i have to have stuff with me, i can also use when i found a place to stay.
Multiple usage of all my gear, is my goal.

Sometimes i just take some sort of break, of thinking of all the stuff i might need or not need, at all
Drives me crazy at times.
Food is one of them.

Don't know if they're offered over in Europe, but you might want to look into foldable stoves made by "Sterno" and their 'cans' of solid fuel. They're easy enough to look up online (Sterno Portable Folding Stoves), but again, I don't know about availability in Europe...I enjoy reading your BLOGS, Rosa.

You have a big chore ahead of you but you're doing it slowly and that will make all the difference.

BillywildMartin,

Yes, we have those here, too.
That is one thing i ordered at this bushcraft shop.
It is a online shop only.

Thank you, that makes me happy,

Oh, GREAT, glad to hear thy're available, they set up easy and if you use the 'canned solid fuel' just be CAREFUL, remembering that the can WILL be hot once you've finished 'cooking' and extinguished the flame, I KNOW it sounds silly/childish for me to telling you this, but we tend to forget things like this, especially if we never used it before or for the first time. The fuel CAN also have some liquid within the can it comes it, make sure you put the lid back on TIGHT after using and letting it cool off. I'm sure if you follow the instructions for "use and handling" you'll be fine, maybe even five it a try a few times at home before you take your trip to get the hang of it.
Hope you keep us up on the trip while you're on it, sounds like a WONDERFUL idea and should be a GREAT experience!!!

I think you mean those gell cans?
I have to buy a bottle of a kind or burning gel, you can also use in a heater at home....
and then put the gel on fire...
In this very small holder.....
I will see if i can put a picture up here, from that gel burner..

I have pot clamps, i will use while cooking outdoors.

I am also in contact with the people of this bushcraft shop, they are willing to help me and give me advice about what is wise to do, or take with me, and what not.
This shop has a very good reputation.
among bushcrafter people...

Yes, i will try this at home, more then once, before i go traveling.
