They seem to get to trust me, and start talking... At this social working place, the sour guy left the work floor, to collect some 400 bikes somewhere in Holland. So i worked with B and an other guy. B and i finished two bikes! I am soo proud! B made a test drive on this one bike, wich was worked on, before by the Sourman. While he was on the bike, one of the peddal broke off.. He almost fall of the bike! He came back, terrible mad!! Cursing and cursing!! Very impressive! So, we fixed that, again, and checked the whole bike, because it seems that the Sour man, never really put all the bolds and pieces tighten That made them, talk, about this Sour man! I heard storys that made my eyes roll!! ReallY? Well, well, well, he is not as clean as he pretend to be..... cough! He did not practise shoplifting, let me say that...    He is even more nasty, then i allready, instinctively 'knew' about him. I even think, the staff might be a bit afraid of him.... I liked it, that those two men, opened up, about him and their selfs too.... It was a very relaxing day, working with B. No drama, no nastyness, no negativity, at all We even thanked each other, for working together. One of the habbits of the SOur man, is always telling me, what i do wrong. The whole day long. The other day, i had enough of that, so i shouted at him. I dont do anything WRONG. I am doing things my way! That does not say, that is wrong!! He immediatly moved out of the away. Or, when you tell him he forgot to do, something, he always react with; I know that already! Go F yourself! You did not. It is known, that Indian man, and maybe especially the older generation,(?) really have a very big dislike of women. So, now, maybe, i have made some friends, overthere. Planning on working more and more with B. We worked together, help each other, give each other the tools needed and all that, normal healthy work relation. Still an apprentice.

I am under surveillance by all the people, working there. Without me being aware of it. There is only one person, i dont talk with, to I try to keep as far away as possible, when i see him.

It's always nice when you have someone that works well with you. My last boss had a young gal working with us. She was a great worker and by working good together it made any job we were on much easier. Too bad you have to deal with the other idiot, narrow minded bigots are the worst.

That's quite an interesting dynamic that goes on there in your workplace. Seems you've turned a few heads since starting there and that you are gaining the trust of at least SOME of the co-workers! I think the BEST part is that you enjoy what you're doing, what you accomplish within your work day and the way your 'accomplishments' make you feel at the end of each day!!! So HAPPY for you, and for everything that you're LEARNING! Keep sharing your story and the experiences!!!

Like I wrote previously.. I know bikes..I spent 7 yrs putting them together on a daily basis when I worked at toysrus.. And if someone can't be trusted to even thread a pedal till it's tight...he shouldn't be building bikes period.. Second..yes people of some cultures do treat women differently..and some still have a societal caste ,mentality.. So I don't doubt you will be watched,not be allowed to do some things or even tested.. But not by some bozo that can't even tighten his own nuts down..

bikerforslut, Yeah, that makes a hell of a difference. Oh, dont worry, i can have a very foul mouth, if neccessary.  He almost drove one other man, into a burn out, now this man stays away from him, as far as possible. He is just an nasty piece of shit.

BillywildMartin, Thank you, "Turned a few heads"? i dont believe i understand what you mean with that? Oh, i do enjoy my days there, very much! Always happy and full of anticipation of which bike i can 'molest' this time! Hahaha Learning a lot, every time again, those two days. And, when i have enough of the Sour man, i go into the thriftshop, see if they have some working shirts, i like.

likematures, Aah, well, i have been around, is that not what they say? Men, with such an attitude...are losers, anyway. In Holland there were those two men, being stand-up comedians. had this song, about that kind of man, SInging; old men, must die! useless, wast of time, space and energy. LOL

Glad to hear you are enjoying your work. The last factory I was working at, many of the production departments were run by women. A lot of the new guys, from India, Pakistan, Turkey, ect., really didn't like having women in charge. Not what they are used to I guess.
