Laughing, Ever since i became the Christmas building person, some how..... 😛? This stafmember asked me, to please, build some more, because the shop needed them, real soon. So, there i go, again. Building 5 trees. I think, those plastic trees are the most ugly things, ever invented by man. Never mind. I mean, IF you want to buy a plastic tree, please, buy a black one, or pink, or white... For crying out oud, not a fake GREEN one! My idea. So, i wanted to move this last Christmas tree, to the other place, where all the other trees standing... Dragging the tree with me, i suddenly stand with just the top of the tree. The rest did collapsed on the floor... That was the second time, the tree collapsed! W, a stafmember came into the same space, and heard me curse!! He laughed! so loud!! He told me, i heard you curse very ladylike, the first time, the tree callapsed. But this!! was something else. I told him; oops, gave away my background!! We both laughed!! What is it they say? You can get the out of her neighbourhood... BUT, you can never get THAT neighbourhood out of the .😇😚 It is soo funny, to see, some of those other trees. You have to fold all the "leaves" out, and spread them, like a real Christmas tree... Well, some just dont seem to see that. I am going to have a dubble work load... building those monsters. No time for my bikes, for now... 😭😭😭 |

I am getting along, pretty good, with the last bike!   Not ready, yet, but getting there! Wheels? check Frame? check Light? check Brakes? check Getting there. ❤❤️🔥❤

Good to hear your OJT is going good, you will be a certified bike mechanic in no time. My mom always had me assemble her fake x- mas tree for her. I didn't mind at all. Being the oldest maybe why she asked me every year. Sure miss those old traditions. Hard to believe she has been gone over 12 years now.

I had to laugh at this post, Rosa, imagining you putting those trees together and then CURSING when they came apart! I agree that the 'plastic trees are ugly, well, some of them, anyway, some of the newer ones look as real as a live tree, and just THINK of the LIVES of all the REAL trees you're SAVING by putting those plastic one together instead of cutting down a real tree some where. Good job, Rosa! And 'the last bike sounds NEARLY finished, but you didn't mention a very essential part to that last bike...you said wheels, frame, light, brakes, but you forgot the handlebars, and the pedals, and the most important part, the SEAT/SADDLE!!! LOL!!!

we used to have a real tree every year, and leave it up a long time because the kids liked it. One year when I was taking it out of the house, ever needle fell off. That year we were finding needles until July. We got a fake one, and used it for 20 years, lol.

boh,Yes, i know, the needles, you will find them, far into the next year! That was also half of the fun, dont you think? i always bought one with roots, so i could put the tree into my garden, giving it a second life, so to say. I love the smell of a real christmas tree.

BillywildMartin, Yeah, there is something to say, about that argument, but think of all the plastic of such a tree..... All the cost of producing such a tree.... Ahh, well, we do what we can. Handlebars are good, pedals too,  It only needs a new saddle, this is a very old bike, it is from German origine. They knew how to make bikes! Yes, the cursing was something, nobody should have heard, since i was in an other room... alas...

bikerforslut, Yeah, there is something to say, for such traditions, They can bring back some fine memories, too You can also make your own new traditions, you know? Your own little rituals for Christmas or other festive days? I have them, makes me feel good.

'Yes, the cursing was something, nobody should have heard, since i was in an other room... alas...' Well, as the expression goes, NOBODY'S PERFECT! And everyone's 'entitled' to a MOMENT every once in a while, when their patience gets TRIED a bit and they let the EXPLETIVES fly (as long as there were no children about...), I, for one, understand completely!
