so cold, We have our second cold wave, here. The temps are -10... but when you go outside it feels like the frost wants to tear your skin of your bones! It feels like -15. COLD! NOT NORMAL! it is no fun, anymore. Heating is on, 3 layers of thick sweaters, thermo, insulated stuff too..... Still cold! Yesterday, it was the same, went for the shops, close by, i almost hyperventilated on my way back and i know, when that happens, i am gone very fast.... So, i totally focussed on my breathing, nearly did not get any breath... So, today, i stay inside! wait untill this cold is over!! Other Dutch people are totally enthousiastic about skating on natural ice.... sure?? When you have a death wish?  I totally dont understand people, who like to go walking in these temps, for fun?! Fun!? Even my balaclava did not keep the cold away, from some parts of my face..... soo cold!! Did not go to my work, too afraid to pass out, on my way to my work..... lie there, somewhere on the road?! To ski, i like, the air is much better, high up on those hills. and the sun, does have some power, there! The reflection does the trick, here? You get your skin bitten off, by the cold. I hope the weather is nice to you, where ever you are. |

I stay inside as much as possible when it gets cold or snowy. The extreme cold feels like your lungs are burning. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

Yes, I feel for you, Rosa, where you are is along the same Latitude as Northern Canada, whereas the latitude of Southern Portugal or Southern Spain is equivalent to the Virginia/North Carolina border here in the States! HUGE difference in the weather, particularly the COLD in the winter!!! I don't know how people do it, braving that type of coldness, it is, indeed dangerous to one's health, on many levels!!! DO stay inside and continue to TRY and stay warm, Dear Rosa!

I got away from that cold moving here to the southern part of the USA. We might not have the snow but this year our dry season has been very rainy.

WOW that's cold, brrr it was almost 50 this morning. But temps are dropping here all day. Supposed to get down bitter cold here next weekend. I feel you on staying in till it warms up. I hope to get my outside wood boiler hooked up before next winter. It will keep house warmer and easier on our elec. Bill. Good luck and please be careful if you do go out.

1benquick, Thank you, i do stay inside as much as possible, but, you know? sometimes i need to go to the shop... I only go out if necessary, not for fun! This does not even come close to what i consider FUN... brrrrr

bikerforslut, Thank you, Yes, i am very carefull, going outside, wrap myself in layers of clothes, gloves, big winter boots, cover most parts of my face.. i have to see something...  They even warned for frostbite on exposed skin.. Brrrr..

bdsmDd, Thank you, i do the best i can! The sun is out, but it is way too cold, to be outside in the sunshine... Too cold !
