We figured out that only the mobile chat works now and why the numbers are so low. We try a few different ways and the only way that we were able be seen on IM was by using the mobile interface. In our area there is usually about 30 people on and this afternoon there was only 6 in the general area. We could not find a link in the normal website the mobile platform and the little on/off pulldown is still gone as well. If you see one let us know. So if you want use IM it looks like you need use your phone do so, until they take that option away as well.

So earlier I was able to use IM after turning the icon on in the pulldown menu prior to opening the IM window and all was fine. This evening I went to use it and the option to turn on IM is gone. Logged into IM thinking maybe alt corrected this and now you only show you're on when you open IM but nope, I'm not there. I was able to get hold of someone off IM and they verified that I was not on IM and my profile showed I was only online. The amount of users in IM was also down, well below 600, where lately its been about 950. Guess this is just another nail in the coffin for alt to get rid of users.
