I've been down
Sick with the flu
Yuck!
And even though
I'm here alone
I didn't feel alone
I knew
He was watching
over me
He allowed me to rest
To care for His property
To make well
That, which is ill
I felt deep inside Him
He wished He could be here
to care for me
But life calls us all
to maintain our
responsibilities
Did I wish that too
I did
Only to have His body
covering mine
as I slept
And maybe.....
A little play
To take my mind
off how sick I felt

A feeling rushed
over me
As He kissed me
goodbye
And drove away
For a moment
I was numb
I had just spent
the most amazing
week
And now it was over
He gave me my daily
tasks
How often I will
check in through
text and photos
showing I'm completing
them as commanded
I miss His presence
already
His quiet strength
His patient mind
His ability
to get me to do
what He wants
These are all things
I need
