Changing parts of self is something that has to come after a long time of thinking hard and coming to terms with various realisations, it's not something that can happen because another person has bullied the changes into happening.
Some things need to be changed because they no longer work, they don't do what they're supposed to do, they don't some any more, they don't provide a benefit any longer, they don't improve life any more and they don't have the same importance that they once used to have - It makes sense to get rid of them if they're entire reason for being has become redundant, if the way that they used to things tick along has stagnated to the point of being a hindrance more than anything else.
Some things need to be changed because they have become counter productive to the direction that some's life is now heading in, they no longer have a part to in furthering the direction of some's life, they no longer provide a clear and ful method to gain a foothold on the next rung of life - If something is counterproductive there is no way that it can reverse that and become useful once more, it's going to hold some back no matter what, no thoughts or prayers can alter the dimensions of physics creating a positive outcome and the only benefit is to cut all ties.
Some things need change because they have been taken advantage of time and time again, parts of some that always seem to be to the advantage of others but never to the person they're supposed to benefit and whether that's personal, professional or private it doesn't matter if it causes pain everytime that it's exploited.
Changing a part of self is never easy, never quick and never painless, there will always be some aspect of healing that needs to be taken care of or even a period of grief to get used to the way things will become but it's all necessary, people can only continue the way they are for so long until they reach a point where they break - A person who's experienced breaking knows that it's the worst feeling there is for some to know, it can take months or even to put the pieces back together and it can be painful each step of the way, so the majority put mechanisms in place to prevent this ever happening again to them.
If some has been broken, take care, look at the ars that have been left over and take note of what made them and don't be the reason that more ars are made.

The wandering and the lost, not synonymous with one another no matter now similar the two paths may appear or how commonplace the obstacles faced are to those travelling as well as those observing, there is always a reason, there is always an assurance and there is always something to be learnt.
Some pathways take a long time to find, the beginning of it may be hampered by bracken, bush, foliage or walls, the middle of it may traverse obstacles that have never been encountered before or never even seen before, there may be winds in the pathway that take days or months to walk and there is no way to cut corners when it comes to these journeys, there's no way to ignore what's in the way, there's no way to know what's going to be in the way.
Obstacles come up a thousand times over, sometimes with no warning whatsoever there will be some impeachable mountain that appears right smack bang in the middle of the most attainable pathway, making the most obvious direction to take the most difficult one to walk - Sometimes there will be a thousand obstacles, a hundred thousand obstacles appearing one after the other, chasing, following and corralling whatever gets in their eye line into going where they want them to go, forcing them off the path and into despair.
Very few pathways can be walked without problems, without hiccups, without distractions or without delays, there is always something that will appear and need attention paid to it, there's no way to escape that - Sometimes time is needed to be spent simply sat down, contemplating what needs to be done next rather than forging ahead, rather than trying to hurdle over everything in the way, rather than muddling through, rather than keeping cool and carrying on, the best thing to do is simply to stop and do nothing at all.
Time can lose all meaning when there is no concept of up or down, left or right, backwards or forwards, when the pathway taken is the last option to find what's missing nothing can be ignored even if it's something that appears to be insignificant or unimportant and that's a lesson that everyone has to experience at least once.
Sometimes the pathways are taken because there are no other options left open to someone, sometimes every other option has been exhausted so many times before that they have lost all meaning, all insignificance, all understanding and all help - The help that's needed is help that only comes when someone is ready, willing and able not to accept help but to know where the help can come from.

Refusing to help others when they have no other way to turn is indicative of humanities disregard for others, it's indicative of humans utter disdain for altruism in every understanding of the word and it's indicative of humanities deep seeded want to destroy.
Humans can create some beautiful things given the freedom to let their imagination, their creativity, their intelligence and their knowledge flourish whenever the Muse hits them, however the one giant hurdle to this happening is other human beings, other people's influence denies autonomy when creating and this plunges the knowledge, the imagination, the intelligence is shelved for politics - Nothing is as destructive as a human being trying to stand in the way of progress, soon they become the poster for their side in this battle of tradition verses invention, they become the sight, the sound, the mouthpiece of those more afraid of sharing credit than dooming humanity to stagnation and there is nothing anyone can do to fight them because they hold the seats of power.
Denying others what they want or need is what humans love doing, they love nothing more than denying someone else something they know will help them, because it makes them reliant upon whatever resources that they have at that current moment in time, the twist of the wrist leads to a broken arm and soon enough, a fractured mind - Forcing someone else's hand is a favourite past time for those in power, to force someone to adhere to their schedule, their rules, their regulations, their way or the highway, is how they enjoy themselves, it's how they feel their power and are reminded just how potent it is.
The danger with how these people play the game of life is that soon enough they will come up against someone who can't deal with the hypocrisy of their actions, someone who can't deal with broken wrists because they already have a fractured mind, this only has one outcome, when the energy to fight over takes the energy needed to run their body the strangest of things become attractive.
A lorry passing them on the road.
A bus.
A speeding car.
A packet of pills.
A razor blade.
Soon enough it's literal blood on those hands which endeavour to break those wrists.

A seething, rolling, bubbling disdain that doesn't ever back down, it doesn't stop, it doesn't break for a breath, it doesn't give a moments pause despite the energy that it steals every moment of every day, day in, day out there is no escape from this suffocating disdain that recoils every other emotion and prevents anything else from emerging.
Constantly surging emotions, a cycle that never ends, once it starts there is no way to stop it, no way to halt the progression of disdain, no way to stop the merry-go-round of pain, no way to hit pause and reset the entire cycle, no way to save someone's sanity, no way to preserve what's left of rational ability, no way to remain human - This cycle destroys everything that it means to be human, to function in a society where small talk, backstabbing, where criticism is masked with constructive to make it acceptable, where small lies are the way communication goes, where patronising equates to helping, where condescending means training and where being a friend means knowing the right moment to betray.
The poison that flows through someone's veins is key to knowing who they are, what they want, how they treat people and what their intentions are, they lie with every word, they betray as often as they blink, they will steal without a second thought even if it doesn't benefit them because this is what makes them happy.
Happiness is the poison that flows through them, society is the one who shows them how beneficial this poison is.
Society is full of examples of liars, cheats, thieves, bullies, idiots, narcissists, nepotists, racists, sexists, and everything else that should make people sick, being at the top of their game, being able to do whatever they want without repercussions and being able to affect everyone from the individual to millions simply because they can.
Causing pain to others has become humanities number one favourite past time and for the minority it makes these cycles of disdain all the more harder to cope with.

Where ever human beings go they always seem to take with them the doctrine that they come first - Not always collectively, more often than not its shown on an individual person by person basis.
Selfishness goes hand in hand with ignorance, creating a sort of miasma of bliss surrounding these particular individuals knowledge of and utilisation of empathy and they adore nothing more than convincing others of their capability in getting what they want.
Few people will consider others, however some people decide to live their lives with cultural beliefs which dictate the happiness of the collective over the individual and these people have more understanding of the human condition than those who fake empathy for their own gain - Entire societies revolve around polite rules which protect everyone, small considerate moments that mean other people won't feel inconvenienced by another actions and in no way does anyone feel devalued, even if they don't conform to the ideal of normal.
The plague of the selfish person infects every aspect of life for everyone inconvenienced by their presence, there's not a single sector of another person's life that they don't have the ability to infiltrate because they have no concept of personal boundaries, their priority in life is themselves and themselves alone.
Family, friends, colleagues, it doesn't matter how strong or weak the interaction or relationship is, they will have it benefit them through whatever means necessary because they need the constant reassurance from others that they are as important as they believe - Realistically they have little to brag about, nothing to build strong foundations upon and nothing which distinguishes them from anyone else on the street.
Devious to a point beyond self deception and boarding upon self sabotage, they continually bend the truth of life so that even if everything is coming up roses they still have something to fall back upon for the attention that they seek continuously.
