Some things I've learned.

So I came to this site thinking it was a good place to start my "journey" into the bdsm lifestyle. It was something I had been thinking about for a long time but wasn't sure how to begin. Mind you I had done very research aside from googling "bdsm dating" and picking pretty much the first entry. I jumped in, filled out my profile, and even for gold on the first day.
Wow, did I ever get slapped in the face with reality.
In the beginning, I really wasn't sure what I wanted from this site. Info, someone to talk to, maybe a date or just a meet . I absolutely was not expecting tons of what looked like gorgeous women telling me they wanted to be my Mistress. It was kind of jarring at first. Then I started to understand what was happening.
I understand no "dating" site is perfect. And I know it can be really hard to govern something like this. But wow, this place is a mess.
I've been here about a month now and found that most that have contacted me can be classified into several groups. The ones that pretty much immediately ask for . The ones that will talk for a while and then ask for . The groups that will actually give you stuff after asking for (, livestreams, cyber). Some real professional Mistresses (not the same as the last ). And then (seemingly the smallest ), people like me who want to talk.
Needless to say, if you dont want to have to maneuver through the scams, if you don't want cyber (not that there is anything wrong with it, Ive done it too), and were looking to actually get a date, this site probably is not for you.
Thats not to say there arent any real people here. I lucked out pretty early and found (actually they found me) a real professional. I immediately knew they were different because after chatting for a few minutes, THEY asked to talk on the phone. I was shocked. We ended having a lovely conversation (not cyber) for over an hour where they helped me understand what I needed to move forward.
I dont know if anyone actually reads any of these blogs but I think what my point is, this site can be a dumpster fire for new people and a pit for lonely people who can be taken advantage of. However, I do have to admit, I have learned quite a bit about myself (albeit mostly from one person).
Bottom line is, I'm still here, despite the scams, looking for people to talk to. And for those lonely new people, unless you have it to gamble with and dont mind loosing it, please dont give to people you arent sure they are who they say they are.
