Today I am thankful......
........that I live in a time and place in history where I have not only the right to vote, I have the means to get there and the responsible nature that caused me to remember that right, made law, even through the Subway Sandwich shops BOGO food coma haze I was in after a long day of learning and testing.
The learning and testing that comes with a job where the laws try to ensure that I, a female, get an equal wage, a lunch, fair treatment and workable conditions. That all workers do, regardless of gender, or race, or color or religious affiliation.
The right I have because 20 years ago, 50 years ago, 95 years ago, 230 years ago...... a bunch of other responsible people stood up and exercised their rights to vote and inspired others to demand their rights.Rights to vote, for a better life, a better chance, a refusal to change. A voice. A choice. A choice to exercise their choice. Or not. To vote today for monopolies if it brings the dope or not. To keep taxing smokes for sports arenas. To blog about it or ignore it all and bitch about it to the non voting bar crowd later as they huddle outside the smoke free place.
Doesn't matter how I voted. What matters is that I CAN and I DID!

The burnouts in my life do listen when I tell them how changing the constitution matters, that people can and do lie when they have a vested interest, laws and lives be damned. About big business and big wallets. About little involvement and shelters and shells. And that I trust them to know if they're being misled before they buy into the gummybear hype this year or wait out a heartier communal dish a few years down the road.

It's November again. The month that celebrates my favorite US holiday and my favorite head & heart space.
Thanks-giving.
To anyone who reads this or read any of my past years attempts, I don't know if I can swing a gratitude a day up until Thanksgiving as I am so behind on life itself, not to mention keeping up with other bloggers, I know I'll never get caught up, bbbbuuuttttt....I'm gonna try my best to keep it right and grateful as much as I can.
I'm throwing my own lil twist in this year, cuz I'm thankful that most of the time, living my life, my way, has worked out so much better because of the various twists n turns that I never saw coming, they just seemed to be a natural part of the road and as we all know, a good road trip through life is nothing without music.
Today I am thankful for.......
......Being able to log in here with almost no problems. It only took 2 tries and 3 swear words.
The numerous emails sitting in my inbox from as far back as 10/14 that I never got alerts for even while I was logged in, is a whole other matter. To the various folks I owe replies to....they are forth coming. I didn't know they were there. I'm sorry. Swear word tabulation? Upwards of 50.
