Every day this month until Thanksgiving, think of one specific thing per day that you are thankful for and post it.

That's my goal anyway.

Thanksgiving in November is the perfect time to remind myself to BE full of thanks.

No, that's not right .Thanksgiving in November is the perfect time to remind myself to EXPRESS my gratitude.

Damn. This used to be so easy. Narrowing it down to just 1 at a time was hard. Any more, I just don't know.....

The gratitude is there. The reasons and who, what, where and why. Im not strapped for ideas or things to be grateful for. Hell Southwest airlines offers me 59 d0llar fares at least twice a week for Pete's sake. I've planned at least 7 vacations in the past month alone.

Not that I've actually booked any mind you.

Fuck it.

Today I am thankful for:

1 9 8 4

The Album? Well, Yeessss, but no. I mean the year.

Since I can't be there, I am here. I even put SUB in the title to make this post alt worthy.

Yeah. I am grateful for 1 9 8 4.

Not because of Prince though there was this penguin......

Yep. Thankful

With SERIOUS apologies to Mr. Waters & aliljaded who posted my 2nd favorite Floyd song today on her blog.

That was great, until I skimmed the recent blogs list and spent some time checking the site.

It was all downhill from there, cuz unbidden, alt plus my favorite Floyd song combined into a free for all of ridiculous in my head. This is how it would have been written by a 20 21 alt member.

Hey you!
Out there on the web
Feeling lonely, wanting head!
Hey bitch, fuck me!

Hey you!
Shopping these alt aisles
Of stolen photos and fake profiles
Subs wanna suck me!

Hey you,
I've got needs, but I can't wait all niiIIiight!

Don't give up yet. I like a good fight.

Hey you!
Do you wanna see my bone?
I'm typing naked on my phone!
Would you sext me?

Hey you!
No, I really cannot call, cuz
My wifes sleeping down the hall.
At least text me!

Hey you,
Don't you want to see true Domley cuuUUuum?

Send me some pics!
My arms going numb!

This isn't only fantasy!
I mow my lawn in chaps!
Take a crop to A&P!

Pretend you're not in sweatpants
Mmmm your naked on my knee....

And his worm's taken over
his brain.

Hey you!
My balls have got a load.
Sluts should do what they are told!
You can help me.

Hey you!
Out there perving blogs,
You should be gobbing on my log!
Watch those damn teeth!

Hey you!!!

That she blows. Take it aaAAaalll!

My sack is dry.
Asleep I must fall
fall
fall
fall

A perfect set out, then hands flail, arms swing, hair tossed up down side to side and shoulders flying around in circles

Body spinning

Breath blowing out in hard bursts

Feet scrabbling to move without leaving to ground.

Yeah....

That's what it looked like as I walked into the nice HR lady's office for a job interview.

There was this lone spiderweb that the AC blew into my face as I crossed the threshold of her office and the rest, as they say, it history.

So was the job opportunity even though I was wearing a pink sweater set not black gi.

The moral of the story is....

Never ask for my advice based on past experiences!

The Bboi was inspired by the wolf guy with great hips (can't recall his new profile name) do a boredom buster: Ten Answers Questions You Didn't Ask
or FUQs, Frequently Unanswered Questions. Ten Answers to Questions You Didn39t Ask

He thought this might be a fun exercise. I concured. If you also think so, please feel free make one yourself then try make one of the facts not rewriting the missing words and screaming at alt. Mmmmm maybe not.

Here goes a lot of something about nothing.....ten facts about anything me today.

10. Right now I am sans bra, shoes and contact lenses while gunpowder explodes beautifully outside my front door every few feet and every few seconds. Bad things are bound to happen, hence posting this to help keep me out of trouble. The fireflies can only keep me in line for so long.

9. I've been fingerprinted over 100 times.

8. It has been so long since I've had sex, I am officially considered a born again virgin.

7. I'm debating selling rights to my new cherry on e-beg.

6. Logging in here today, my Who's Online collage was like a celebrity decade montage. Christopher Lee, Thomas Dolby, Scott Sapp and lil Wayne all have photos here and are apparently kinky in Cleveland. I am hysterically amused by such laziness in fakery.

5. I've used 3 jars of Vaseline since January.

4. No, I'm not telling if #8 & #5 are related in any way.

3. The best thing I learned this year is the origin of the word HANGOVER. There were photos. I'm still laughing and nodding. I just knew I was a sailor in a former life.

2. It took over 2 hours for me to figure out how to a new DVD yesterday. Seriously....don't ask.

1. There are dried grits stuck my fingernail that I can't get off. It's like a nightmare psycho chef manicure. I'm trying figure out if I can patent it and sell it nail salons in unmarked bottles at marked prices.

~there are sites called WIKIFOODdotORG and WIKIFEETdotCUM.
Ok, it's not really dotcUm but it probably should be. I'm sure there are members here who know aaaaaaallllllll about the latter. I'm glad they've not shared that with me.

~ Viruses need a living host. Stop the spread of Co19. Wear a vampire mask and be the king of undead health and social responsibility. Bite safe, you've got camouflage!

~ Having the time to FINALLY plan a healthy menu, work out and get the recommended amount of sleep on a regular basis has caused an average gain of 6 pounds per person. 2 lbs for aquarium pets. You should see those goldfish!

~ When they say ALL MEMBERS of the household are to be quarantined or masked....they mean it!

And so ends national poetry month and my sharing songs, well lyrics of songs, that I considered pure poetry in motion.

Thank you to those ALT members who jumped in with poems or songs in any way. It was greatly appreciated, my friends!

Special thanks to drmgirl622, 4Faksake, inderiominx, jenny14, mockyloks, & tsarah, who offered multiple suggestions and shared their own selections in prose or song here alongside me.

This last one is for all y'all

Run your car off the side of the road
Get stuck in a ditch way out in the middle of nowhere
Get yourself in a bind, lose the shirt off your back
Need a floor, need a couch, need a bus fare

This is where the rubber meets the road
This is where the cream is gonna rise
This is what you really didn't know
This is where the truth don't lie

You find out who your friends are
Somebody's gonna drop everything
Run out and crank up their car
Hit the gas get their fast
Never stop to think 'what's in it for me?' or 'it's way too far.'
They just show on up with their big old heart
You find out who you're friends are

Everybody wants to slap your back
Wants to shake your hand
When you're up on top of that mountain
But let one of those rocks give way then you slide back down
look up and see who's around then

This ain't where the road comes to an end
This ain't where the bandwagon stops
This is just one of those times when
A lot of folks jump off

You find out who your friends are
Somebody's gonna drop everything
Run out and crank up their car
Hit the gas get there fast
Never stop to think 'what's in it for me?' or 'it's way too far.'
They just show on up with that big old heart
You find out who you're friends are

When the water's high
When the weather's not so fair
When the well runs dry
Who's gonna be there?

You find out who your friends are
Somebody's gonna drop everything
Run out and crank up their car
Hit the gas, get there fast
Never stop to think 'what's in it for me?'
or 'it's way too far.'
They just show on up with their big old heart
You find out who you're friends are

April is national poetry month and while I do follow along with my local library's daily selection, this year instead of writing my own poetry or sharing a classic of another, I am sharing songs, well lyrics of songs, that I consider pure poetry. Poetry in motion as it were.

If you've been swept away by a poem, whether or not put music and can help sweep us away, please join in and share your ocean of emotion/poetry in motion as well.

Special thanks drmgirl622, 4Faksake, inderiominx, jenny, mockyloks, tsarah, who have offered suggestions or shared their selections.....It is greatly appreciated!
