My workout theory I'd like to share

It's been a while since I blogged about exercise,diet,
So I thought I'd share this theory and hopefully it helps.
I honestly think lifting weights is complete bs...or at least the advice that we have been told through out the years
We are told we must consume so much protein,stay in a certain rep range,need expensive equipment...blah,blah,blah..
Which in theory is nice...but then how do we explain muscular prisioners..
Whose diet is ..well garbage..processed foods, baloney,.high calories,high carbs...and honey buns,Roman noodles,chips etc..
Probably no cardio..eating only 3 meals a day plus snacks
Without a 5 lb jug of protein powder to be had
Using crappy weights,no straps or weight lifting belts..
Now if you or I ate garbage,didn't run,didn't consume high amounts of protein..
Say it all together...we'd be fat...at best what is called..fat jacked..looking more like a power lifter with a belly.
So what gives...???
Oh wait this is the point where someone will say prisioners are always exercising, doing high reps,using body weight exercises like pullups,pushup..
If that is true...
Then we too can
Just skip the gym,eat junk food and do some high rep pushups???

A lot of fitness influencers talk about a mind muscle connection,getting a big stretch,rest pausing,going to failure,etc..And all these fun buzz words..
I think..hence my theory....these jailhouse work outs are effective because...
Wait for it..
You end up doing a lot of reps with bad form..
Take a push up...chances are you can do x amount in correct form...
But the majority of people sorta fall off after a rep or two...we stop locking out,we stop going to the correct bottom of the exercise..
And the real magic that makes prisioners jacked...are those incorrect reps..
Why? Something called constant tension...
At 55yrs old I can bench 225lb...hardly mind blowing...but you'd think I'd at least have an impressive chest...but nope..
I actually get more,a better pec stimulation from pushups..
But but...isnt the bench basically the same motion as a pushup???..and roughly the same weight..I weight 214lb..
Nope..cause people tend to lock out or rest pause while doing reps while benching..
Thus taking tension off the muscle..
When we " do half ass reps"/ bad form reps..the tension is constantly on.
Now try to stop short of locking out at the top or bottom of a weighted exercise..you'll see it works you harder and you can't lift as much..
Now when I'm at the gym I do " partial" reps...well not partial..but close..like 85 percent of the motion....I see where the muscle starts and stops being under tension...and then only do that portion of the exercise..take lat raises..I only do part of the traditional motion...the bottom portion is useless.
Don't believe me?? Do a barbell,dumbbell bicep curl...
Now do it on a cable machine..hopefully you'll see the difference..one keeps the muscle under constant tension through out the lift.
What I'm trying to demostrate is..
As we try for higher and higher reps in a body weight exercise..our correct form slips..we don't get our chin over the bar in a pull up..
But that is good because we are now staying in that zone of constant tension..there is no resting at the top or bottom
Which leads to complete muscle exhaustion...
Which leads to
Being jacked
I used this theory when I now bench press..I stop short of locking out and bottoming out...maintaining that tension..
And find it greatly improved my chest growth..
It mimmics the results I was getting from a pushup..
An added bonus I experienced was one doesn't always have to now use lighter weights..with my theory
If I'm now only doing say 85 percent of the bench press motion..I don't have to lower the bar to my chest..I can use heavier weight..
Which increase my strength

I'm curious if you believe the lifestyle is too sexualized..
When I first started my lifestyle journey..what? 30 yrs ago...we blamed this ( mostly) male bad behavior on...

When I use the term " service"...
