After yesterday's round it would appear so!
Once more the crowds were massive, and a pin could have dropped when Tiger hit off the first tee yesterday morning! Though he has a slight distinct limp now, and he doesn't bend t o low when eyeing his putt. His pain was written on his face for all t o see. He was quoted as saying " I can hit just fine", "It's the walking part that's hard"...
pac watched his round yesterday in featured group coverage, with no fucking commercials! And it really was something t o see...
Tiger was a bit off yesterday. No surprise after no competitive golf for so many months. But his irons and short game bailed him out time and time again. Not t o mention his putting. Late in the round as one of his putts rolled off the putting green the microphone picked up Tiger telling his ball t o "fuck off"! What golfer hasn't been there?
pac was not a golf watcher or player in Tiger's heyday. Of course she knew who he was. But his significance t o the sport was lost on her then...
Seeing him win the Master's a few years ago was one of the best rounds of golf she had ever seen. The extraordinary crowds losing their minds, clapping, yelling and whistling. Then Tiger walking off the 18th green holding his was a sight pac will never forget!
Yesterday though... was a credit t o a man battling his demons. And how hell or high water he will prevail over his surgically repaired body! pac had the utmost respect for him after his round yesterday. Like millions of other people she hopes he can push past the pain, overcome the forecasted afternoon winds, and make the cut. To play this weekend...
~ FYI~ For the betters out there... pac made over $100 yesterday. And is parlaying most of that in new bets today!

In Agusta, Georgia is the first of the golf majors. It's being held April 7th-10th this year. 88 years and still going strong. This is the 86th playing of The Masters and pacs absolute favorite tournament...
For those who don't know...
The traditions and history of this tournament are as unique as all the Azaleas are. Thirty varieties of the blossoms, which flower from March through Mid-April. On the 13th hole which is called "Azalea" 1,600 flowers alone can be seen! The tournament even has a drink called the Azalea Cocktail. Which is pineapple and lemon juice, gin or vodka, and grenadine...
The Masters always takes place at the same time of year, every year, (excluding a covid November playing). The only major tournament of the PGA Tour season that's played on the same course year after year. Hopefully the weather won't be t o disruptive the next several days...
The green jacket the winner receives on Sunday evening, is arguably the most famous prize awarded t o a winner in all of sports. The winner of the previous year gives the current years winner his jacket. The jacket is technically on loan for the year. Then it is returned to Augusta National t o be stored. When players return to Augusta the jackets can be worn for events at Augusta National...

The Par 3 Contest was first held in 1960. It is played on Wednesday. And is probably the tournaments favorite tradition. The 9 hole contest brings together active players and past winners who don't play the main tournament anymore. It is a fun filled exhibition affair. Loved ones from grandchildren to girlfriends act as caddies. Often wearing the classic white jumpsuits the club requires for the professional caddies. T o date; no par 3 winner has ever won The Master's!
How about this for a stringent rule. That is strictly enforced. No cell phones are allowed at Augusta National during the tournament. This includes tablets, camera's and any type of electronic devices. This rule applies t o players as well. There are landline phones available if you can memorize a number!
Augusta National personally mails invitations t o every player who has qualified for the Masters Tournament. (All past champions receive invitations for life.) In proper southern tradition a R.S.V.P is expected back...
Since 1963 the tournament has chosen "Honorary Starters t o hit the first shots of the week, Which officially starts Thursday play. Previous winners and distinguished golfers are given this honor...
pac is still not able t o lift, golf, and it's 90 + degrees in Az. After placing some bets. She will be parked on the couch watching as much golf as she can!

Deep in the southeastern corner of Az is a historic gem. Known as " The Town Too Tough T o Die"...
This was a time of the wild west silver boom. It's mines produced around $85 million worth of silver. At it's peak Tombstone was the fastest growing city between St. Louis and San Francisco. There were over 100 saloons, numerous restaurants, and a large red-light district. In addition t o schools, churches and newspapers...
Tombstone is home t o about 1,500 year-round-residents. Which does surprise people...

~ Tombstone's post office was established December 2nd, 1878 and has yet t o be discontinued...
~ One of the first public swimming pools in Az was established in Tombstone. And is still in use today...
~ Most famous event... Gunfight at the OK Corral. Which actually happened in a vacant lot on Fremont Street. On October 26, 1881, members of the "Cowboys" had a run in with three of the Earp brothers Wyatt, Virgil, and Morgan. 24 seconds and 30 shots later three from the "Cowboys" were mortally wounded. And t o this day many think that event has kept Tombstone alive all these years...
~ Sirens were used as a way t o mark the beginning of a new shift for the miners. After "The Gunfight" sirens went off, and miners poured into the street, armed and ready t o protect the city...
~ During this time period saloons were open 24 hours a day in Tombstone. There were several which could be quite decadent with all the different types of alcohol sold. Even one saloon even bragging about piano and violin concerts every night...

A twelve year old girl named Betty disappeared on March 20th while going on a walk in Safford. A small town in South Eastern Az, located about sixty miles from the NM border.
