I'm going to PA for my family reunion this weekend. I love my family.
All my Grammy's sisters and their , grandkids, great grandkids etc. Cousins I don't know. Ones I do. Aunt's. Uncles(2 less than last time though ).
Pagach, cabbage and noodles, Baba's nut rolls, Aunt P's coffee cake, Oatmeal cookies made from my cousin the nun...all within 50 feet of the shooting range. 
Best of all........
This year.....I'm going to the Jimmy Stewart museum while I'm there. I've been promising myself since 1998 that I would go and each year I end up with passengers that have to get home or don't want to stop...(yeah, I know how could they even think of NOT stopping...I was appalled too!)
No one's driving home with me this year except my , and he sure doesn't care what his weird ass mom is doin this time as long as I bring snacks, so I can browse to my hearts content.
AH, life don't get no sweeeter!

Dreams are beautiful things.
Dreams are dangerous things.
Dreams are liberating things.
Dreams are the past, present and future at one time.
Dreams are binding things, unknowing things, ever changing things.
So why do we sometimes cling to them like they are our only things?
We hold on to some for so long and for all the wrong reasons.
I wonder how many wonderful people I have missed, because they didn't fit my old "dream image" that should have changed along with me.
A dream that was a fragile rope to sanity in childhood, or a ladder to climb toward a brighter future has no place in the fully developed life of a grown up.
Those dreams belong to ....complete with the hope, learning and folly of youthful innocence.
The dreams of someone "taking you away and making everything better" belong to those with no responsibilities and no cares other than what's around the next bend.
Dreams are just restraining empty space without work and intelligence and soul put into them, but they do need to evolve and grow and change to suit your life and needs as you grow.
Even now, I catch myself using the dreams I had at 14 to measure people and situations that I see now at 36. Somethings have changed in me since then....some have not.
Am I wrong to hold on to the innocent belief in something better and bigger than what I have now? I don't think so.
To truly believe with all my heart that there is someone and something for everyone? You just need to have lived enough, and grown enough to see it and know it when you find it and be grateful that you have been wrong enough times to not be blinded by who you were and what you wanted, and live instead with who you are and what you need. If you are an honest person, then you know the difference.
To not close the door on something beautiful and as yet undiscovered because it doesn't fit your innocent unknowing mold from days gone by?
Dreams are as necessary as air to us humans. They are the rafts that keep us afloat when the seas of life threaten to drown us. I just hope I'm using mine to keep my chin up, not to hide me from the other ships passing by.

Please keep in mind that I am not an astrology buff or anything. I do believe in fate, and God. I believe that things are meant to be even though we can choose to accept or change them(some but not all).
But this Mercury in retrograde shit is about killing me. I didn't read about it until it was too late (JULY 7th)not that I would have done anything about it anyway, but that is soooo not the point.
Since 07/01 I have.........
Seen an ex come back from the dead (well dead to me anyway)
Ended a tenuous 3 month relationship.
Contemplated my die hard no married men policy.
Had my house broken into.
Had my identity stolen(not from the break in either mind you), and watched my CITIcard's doppleganger having the time of it's life in NYC.
Gained a friend (hopefully) who's words have the ability to touch my soul on a level most others can't even begin to reach. Only one other has been able to do that in many, many years....I met him here too. It scares me.
Had one hell of a romp with above dead ex after a year apart.
Been banned from an ALT group(still not sure why)
Spent approximately 8 out of the last 20 days with crushing headaches.
Damn I feel a Jerry Springer moment coming.
Quick, hide the duct tape and all my loved ones.
I give up...I'm going to bed for the next 7 days...somebody wake me up when it's all over.

There was this couple that had been married for 20 years. Every time they made love the husband always insisted on shutting off the

He's back.......
That demon that torments my days and nights.
with his pretty blond curls and his big blue eyes....dimples winking at me every chance they get. He even shaved.
He with the angels face and devils heart!
just waiting to see if I'll fall again...if I'm that stupid, that hooked, that controlled.....both by him and my absolute and total need.
I am not the girl he threw away a year ago....even then he didn't know me. What he did know, he colored in his mind to suit his purpose.
He is dead to me.....gone and buried....so I tell myself.
I moved on by means of raw pain and bitter self doubt, but the concrete he himself poured, has not yet hardened fully in my heart.
I don't know if I am strong enough to not go back there again.
I can not open myself to him, I know this to be fact, and yet...the dark recesses of my heart still hope, and wonder, and worry.
I do not live him anymore, he caused too much damage.
I do not love him anymore, he sees only in lies.
So why is he trying to walk back into my life?
and why do I still sigh his name in the darkest part of the night?
