Promise
Promise given to promises lost,
Is a promise found uneven,
Promise stolen is a promise cost,
That is rarely, if ever, forgiven.
Promise kept to Promise hurt,
Is a promise by the driven,
Promise returned a promise burned,
Is worse than one uneven.

Original by a friend.

I think pretty much everyone is aware of the rise of AI, has been trying to take in the warnings as well as appreciate the potential benefits, the ones around diagnosis of health issues and the potential for treatments are among the most positive perhaps for ordinary people. Yet the dangers are immense, I may not be a genius but I consider myself well balanced and capable of discernment where required. That is what saved me and yet I was almost taken in. Someone made contact came across ok. I did the usual checks I could. They had a decent account on FB, communicated in a very sociable non pressure manner, however, after a week of communication the conversation took a financial direction, very 'innocent' in appearance but being sceptical of the asymmetric approaches you often get I was alert to the situation.
Politely declined and hey presto - no further communication, now it is possible that it was a real person trying it on, but it is also possible that the technology had created a very convincing construct. It is unlikely I will ever know but I'm glad I am very cautious in these matters. Still one lives in the positive sphere that life may yet deliver on the good times I seek.

Anyone like Sci-fi?

Just finished watching this series, found it quite entertaining in parts, if a little PC at times. Views from the balcony?

Is there more to say in a second series?

Sometimes you find yourself looking in the wrong direction without knowing it, then surprise someone sends you a message, and it wasn't on here. What they know, or think I have yet to have elucidated.

It's tempting to give in,
patience more than a virtue,
especially when in sin,
When 'eye' meets 'U'

Yes nice to begin,
offer some tangible proof,
drink subtle wines,
find trust in truth.

Truth may be painful,
honesty on the rocks,
leaves me unfaithful,
like odd socks.

If you can accept,
life takes its twists,
and learn to respect,
Then much more than visits.

When you join you're invited to take part in it as a game. Which I declined. It can be difficult to tell gamers apart for serious people. I use this blog as a way of showing I am a real person. Not a BOT created profile and also not looking for games. I cannot criticise those who wish to have fun and find amusement, entertainment in their collecting game, except in the sense it might be difficult for people who are genuinely new and find their time and effort wasted trying to communicate. I've had a share of one sided communications where sensible questions are answered with an obtuse response, for which I can only conclude the purpose of 'the game' is to create the longest streak of replies etc. So if you are reading this I do live near to York in the UK I am seeking someone that fits with my desires. A nice succulent sub female.

Got a post denied,
I have no idea why.
Oh yes I tried,
but to no avail.
It remains denied,
something I cannot share.
Their truth applied,
my attempt a fail.
In truth no big deal.
the note was innocuous,
no big reveal,
so here ends the trail.

A poem by Emily Dickinson

The saddest noise, the sweetest noise,
The maddest noise that grows, —
The birds, they make it in the spring,
At night’s delicious close,

Between the March and April line —
That magical frontier
Beyond which summer hesitates,
Almost too heavenly near.

It makes us think of all the dead
That sauntered with us here,
By separation’s sorcery
Made cruelly more dear.

It makes us think of what we had,
And what we now deplore.
We almost wish those siren throats
Would go and sing no more.

An ear can break a human heart
As quickly as a spear.
We wish the ear had not a heart
So dangerously near.

Do you remember?

Do you remember where you were when you heard a particular joke?
What are reminiscences around that time.

'Get me an Alligator sandwich, and make it snappy! '

First heard that watching Tommy Cooper on TV back in the day.
It's not that it's really funny - now - just the innocence of it resonates in a way that takes me back to a time when had I known I could have made other choices.
Oh for a parallel universe to peak at.

A walker spots a man behaving in a strange way around a house, moving closer notices that a man is having sex with the letter box.
'What? - WTF are you doing?'
Man looks round ' Celebrating' and smiles
'Celebrating?' asks the walker.
'Yeah. I've just cum into my inheritance''
